Omega Tower

Written by MSG Commander

The Omega Tower is on a small island next to Nolthia. If you thought any of the dungeons up to this point were challenging, wait until you see what's in store for you here.

Side Note

Note that for this part of the Story, your party consists of Ash, Wied, Enah and Eclair. If you haven't had any of them in your party regularly, you may need to spend a bit of time grinding here to get their skill levels to where you want them.

Navigating the Omega Tower

When you enter the tower, Eclair reads the writing carved into a pillar:

"When a great power shall finally be unleashed, the gate to spatial mobility shall be opened."

There are no immediate clues as to what that means; however, it basically is saying you have to "solve the puzzle" of the Omega Tower. To get to the top of the tower, you need to find three keys - a Red Key, a Silver Key, and a Gold Key.

The Red Key

When you first enter the Omega Tower, there are only two sets of stairs that you can actually get to. Take the stairs on the east up to the second floor. Follow the path around to the south to get the treasure. Now go back, and go further to the southeast to a set of stairs leading back down to the first floor.

Follow this ridiculously long path all the way to the north, and then around to the south. When the path splits, turn west and then go south to a small room where you'll find the Red Key.

Now go back to the entrance and unlock the Red Door on the west side of the room.

The Silver Key

To get the Silver Key, go through the Red Door and take the stairs up to the second floor. Follow the path until it splits in two directions.Go north to get the treasure, then back around to the south to a set of stairs leading back down to the first floor.

Follow the path way up north to a set of stairs up to the second floor. Before you take the stairs up, go south to get two more treasures. One is in the southeast corner of the large room, and the other is in a small room, south of the large room. Now go back and take the stairs.

On the second floor, take the path to the west. When you go across the blue tile, you enter a small room with trap doors in the floor. Go through that room and follow the path to get the Silver Key.

Now go back to the entrance and unlock the Silver Door on the east side of the room.

Treasure

The Gold Key

To get the Gold Key, go through the Silver Door and take the stairs up to the second floor. This path leads to a total of five different treasures.

To get the first one, follow the path until it splits to the west and the east. Go east, and take the first north, then the first west. Follow that path to an Energi Elixir.

Now go back to where the path first splits, and go west. Take the next west, and follow the path to get a Mind Seed.

Now go back towards where the path splits, and as soon as the path turns, go due north to get an Ether Heal.

From here, take the path to the east, and follow it north.

Take the first path to the south to get a Heal Herb.

Now go back and take the second path to the south to get the Gold Key.

Now go back to the entrance and unlock the Gold Door.

Behind the Gold Door

Go through the Gold Door and take the first path to the west to get the treasure. (There's also a switch and a pentacle on the floor here, but it's not active at the moment, so just get the treasure and go back.)

Go back around, and take the second path to the west to get another treasure.

Now follow the path to the east to get the third treasure behind the Gold Door.

The Bonus Treasure Room

From the third treasure behind the Gold Door, follow the path to the south to get to a set of stairs up to the second floor.

Follow the path to the south to a room that's got two switches and one blue glowing pentacle. The pentacle won't do anything unless the switch is active. To activate it, examine the lone switch in the middle of the room.

Step on the pentacle in this room. It takes you to the other side of the second floor.

Follow the path down to the first floor, and go north (through the spot where the Gold Door used to be), and then take the first west and follow that around to another pentacle. This pentacle is now active. It takes you to a big blue room on the third floor.

Follow the path to the north to another pentacle. This one takes you to the Bonus Treasure Room on the fifth floor.

The path in this room splits four times (each time to the south), and each time, it leads to one of four treasures. Get all the treasure in here, then follow the pentacles in reverse until you're back on the first floor.

To The Top

Now that you've done everything else you possibly can, go to the first floor and then go north to the stairs in the center of the room. (Somehow, these stairs goes up to the third floor, not the second. Strange but true.) Anyway, this path will lead you to the top of the Omega Tower.

On the third floor, follow the path to the west to reach the stairs up to the fourth floor.

On the fourth floor, go due north and take the path to the west to get a treasure. Now go back to where you entered the fourth floor, and take the path to the west.

Follow this path all the way around until it splits, and go north to get another treasure. Now keep going east, and take the next path to the north to get the final treasure on the fourth floor.

Now take the path to the south, and when it splits again go east as far as you can. Then, follow the path to the north to a set of stairs that lead to the fifth floor. This will put you in a very small hallway with the stairs you came up on one end, and stairs to the sixth floor on the other end. Take the stairs to the sixth floor.

On the sixth floor, follow the path to the north until you go through a row of three small rooms. Go south one room, then west, then south again to get the treasure. Now go east as far as you can, then follow the path to the south. This leads to another pentacle.

The pentacle puts you in a blue room on the sixth floor with a total of three pentacles, including the one you just came in on. Skip the second pentacle, as it goes nowhere. Step on the third pentacle, which puts you in a small room on the seventh floor with one treasure.

Now follow the pentacles back to the area with all the small rooms, and take the other path to the south. This one leads all the way around the perimeter of the sixth floor, to stairs leading up to the seventh floor.

On the seventh floor, follow the path around to the south, and when the path splits, go west to get a treasure. Then go back and take the path to the north. When the path splits again, go south to get the last treasure in the Omega Tower, then go back and take the path to the north to get to the stairs to the eighth floor.

On the eighth floor, go south, take the stairs up to the ninth floor, and Save your game. Now go north to the Boss Battle.

Boss Battle

Red Dragon

By the time I finally reached the Red Dragon, I had Aura, Mini Big Bang, and Catastrophe. I think the dragon lasted two rounds.

After the battle, the dragon's energi is absorbed into the Astral Ring, and then it's back to Vanessa's Lab, where Eclair is able to use the Omega Energi to heal Shion's wounds.

Back at Vanessa's Lab

Back at the lab, Shion and Karim rejoin your party, and Vanessa tells you that in order to stop Maxim, you have to first eliminate the energi barrier he's got around his castle. To do this, you need to go to the Austral Tower, south of Heiland.

Important!

Before you leave the lab, talk to Tessarosa. He'll tell you to check out the basements in Vanessa's Lab and the Energi Lab for some useful items - and possibly, some information about legendary weapons. (You don't have to do the Legendary Weapons quests that you can now unlock in the Lab basement - but I highly recommend that you do. It'll certainly make the Final Battle easier.)

(Also, at this point I would recommend you put Karim back in your formation - assuming that you've been using him throughout the game, that is.)
