Kuto Village

Kuto Village is northwest of the Quicksand Path. You enter the village from the west; if you exit on the east, you'll come out the other side and be able to reach the Desert Ruins.
Where is Harty's Father?
In Kuto Village you find out that Harty's father has traveled to the eastern ruins (they call it that here, but it's actually the Desert Ruins). So, once again, in order to find Harty's father, you're going to have to keep exploring...
Buy the weapons and armor here, and in the Skills Shop buy Clear Silence for Harty. (You can buy Fireball Lv1 for Harty as well, but odds are she’ll rarely use it.)
Be sure to sell the 3 Energy Ores you got from the Boss battle in the Oasis. They sell for 1500G!
If you have the money, you should also buy eight or ten Skill Herbs; they’ll start to come in handy pretty soon.
If you have enough Reinforcing Gems, upgrade Violent Slash to Hell Strike, and Recover slightly to Recover Somewhat.
Take the east exit out of town to reach the Desert Ruins.
Treasure
- Reinforcing Gem - located in the southwest corner behind the Inn.
- Element-changing gem - located in the southeast (follow the path behind the Moon-viewing Tower).

- Earthen Dinosaur Figure - talk to the Cute girl behind the Weapons Shop.
