Ortia Town

It can be hard to see, but there is a blue star treasure here behind the Inn.
Most everyone in town just talks about how the Knights at the castle are trying to fight off the machines, but there's a Woman by the north exit that mentions that goblins have taken over the fortress to the north. (The Fortress will be your next "official" destination.)
You can buy new gear at the Weapons Shop, but I would skip everything in the Skill Shop here (but some people find the buff skills here to be useful, so I guess it's a matter of personal preference).
There are two blue stars in Ortia Town, one in the southwest corner behind the Skill Shop, and one in the northeast behind the Inn. They're both Reinforcing Gems.
Talk to the Wandering Traveler in the Inn to get the Cogwheel Calculating Machine. It gives you two Intensifying Gems.
There are technically three exits from Ortia Town. The east exit is the one you just came in from, and the north exit leads to the Fortress, which is your next destination.
But the west exit leads to a little bonus area - A sun-dappled path.
Treasure
- Reinforcing Gem - located in the southwest corner of town behind the Skill Shop.
- Reinforcing Gem - located in the northeast corner of town behind the Inn (this one's hard to see, but it's at the end of the path).
