Monster List

Random Encounter Monsters

These are the monsters that just appear out of nowhere, either in the Field or in various caves or dungeons.  After each monster’s name, we’ve listed the items they drop.  The first item is their “regular” drop item, and the second is their “rare” drop.  Note that the Goblin Follower is the only monster in the game that doesn’t drop anything.

Each location in the game has its own "group" of monsters, all designed to be just a little bit tougher than the monsters you fought in the previous location.  A few monsters appear in more than one location, but generally speaking if you run into a monster at the start of the game, you can be sure you won't be seeing them again as your journey progresses.

Bosses

Monsters 48 through 64 are bosses, so you only fight each one once.  They're stronger than the other monsters in their area, and some of them will require more strategy, and better skills, weapons, and armor.  The game will always prompt you to SAVE your progress before a boss battle; take advantage of these promptings to check everybody's health, and see if you can reinforce any skills to make the battle easier.

(In the case of number 48, you won't have any Reinforcing Gems yet, or much in the way of skills, weapons or armor, but 48's not all that hard, anyway.)
