    Thanks again for the help, but ultimately, I failed and gave up. My playthrough lasted 60 hours, and 30 of them were dedicated to the futile search of this one enemy. Maybe I was just unlucky, maybe it can only be encountered in a very specific area, maybe it’s an issue with the Steam version of this game. Either way, I think at this point I’m entitled to move on, and I congratulate all players that somehow managed to encounter the Metal Glyph and thus complete their bestiaries.

    Not neccesarily a helpful tip (because it’s a different game) but I know how you feel.

    In another game (Crystal Ortha)I spent half an hour around Zalvano City trying to find an enemy to steal skill from.. Gave up and went for all other enemies.. To my surprise the moment I went to Hortensia Gorge for last two skills I found the enemy I searched. Kemco lies sometimes in its Monster Book.

    @prajna I’m currently playing the game so if I encounter it myself I will tell where I found it (I also hate the fact there is no il”Enemies sort By Area” in the game. 1oldtymer mentioned that one Golem enemy may never appear in Bestiary anyway so won’t be surprised if I won’t have it there.

    Thanks for your encouragement, and I wish you success, since it would be great for players (not only me) to know where exactly the Metal Glyph (no. 142) can be encountered. Nevertheless, please prioritize enjoying your playthrough over going on a wild goose chase.

    I know, however, I basically ruined the challenge by getting just a little bit too strong very early on all because of the Boat giving access to strong enough enemies (used some stuff to become strong enough for them and that made me ruin several areas (I found some challenging areas like Level 70 Arena I dealt with on Hard at 2k hp) but for the most part I’m 1-2 shotting enemies. I’m right at the end of the game (I think seeing the name of chapter being Final Battle) at level 75 with around 4k SP left (after unlocking all nodes I could ) and am still not touching on upgrades until I see an enemy that can destroy me or when I will try to get as high damage as I can.

     

    I still have not encountered this enemy but from what I saw so far metal Regions only have enemies you already fought. I assume you need to encounter and beat metal enemy in area it can spawn for it to join the ranks on Metal Islands.

    Found one! It’s in the area where you find the world map monster sparkle for the King Glyph. After defeating it, I equipped the monster encounter ring and fought 3-4 battles in that same area.

    EDIT: Went back after doing a couple of shrines, and it took 83 battles before another one showed up!Β If you don’t have the monster attract ring, this could be a real pain. ; πŸ™

    254 enemies in bestiary, now all I need is to beat Envy Shrine Bosses on hard (not gping to max out stats until I can do it without overkilling the game in 1 turn.
