    Nice!

I’m curious whether this re-release will tweak the gameplay or tone down the required grinding.

I played the Vita release of Mystic Chronicles, and while the game was fun with challenging boss battles, there was a significant amount of required level grinding, plus required grinding for crafting materials.

Some equipment-store-helpers that automatically gathered crafting materials were useful, but the party still had to go out and fight random battles to make the helpers cough up the goods.

Indeed, they added and tweaked stuff that was and wasn’t present in the original and PSP versions.

    • They added mini-maps to dungeons.
    • They added new speed-up mechanics during battle.
    • GCP (Gensou Chronicles Point) is grindable and easy to get for beating two battles (minimum).
    • Escape rate is not much of an RNG anymore.

I haven’t reached the second half of the game, so I can’t provide more information so far.

Yep, unfortunately, that is still a thing in the game, but since you can easily grind GCP with random encounters now, it makes things at least easier to do now in this rerelease.
