I recognize the four playable Isekai Rondo characters; the girl with purple hair is new.
I greatly enjoyed Isekai Rondo and plan to play Isekai Rondo Otogi eventually.
However, since brand new Kemco releases on consoles have gone up in price to $19.99 USD, I’ll probably stick to playing my Kemco backlog until Otogi gets translated and goes on sale for a discount.

July 26, 2026 at 01:58 #47075I don’t know Japanese, but I tried playing it with “Gaminik” phone screen translation app since I recently finished a 2nd playthrough of Isekai Rondo (got like ~400 uses on Shaw’s Picorn Bomb and ~500 on Viola’s Heroika Braver) and couldn’t wait. I’m starting post-game right now.
With the app, I had to double tap the overlap button for every piece of dialogue, the translation did mix up names like Cello/Cero for Sero, sometimes couldn’t pick up the bottom text in the menu with a character reaction to each story scene, and could format the passive skill lists poorly, so I am waiting for the console port in a year from now to fully comprehend it. Given recent ESL translations by Andy Gerding (Alter Age, Alphadia 3, Isekai Villain, Asdivine Knot) though, I figure I got the same experience.
- Both Isekai Rondo’s post-game and Isekai Villain’s post-game are canon events, because each take place 6 months after the ending and each other, while Isekai Rondo Otogi is another 6 months after (so 1.5 years total).
- It uses the same party ranking & slightly randomized dungeon chest layout system as the original, but again gives you enough points through story feats and side quests.
- They’ve made it easier by placing a teleport straight to the boss, and you will actual be farming it for drops like accessories, materials, and key items to enhance your available list of craftable weapons/armor/accessories (uses more recent preset RNG effects like Isekai Villain/Asdivine Knot, so itemization isn’t as rich as it was in the original Isekai Rondo/Astrune Academy).
- You have the movement speed toggle and encounter toggle separate like recent games, unlike the original Isekai Rondo only letting you have half encounter rate via monster attractors, and a post-game movement rhythm to null encounters at default walk speed (pain when you’d want the movement speed rhythm).
- Instead of 10 main story dungeons where some guild ranks had 2 dungeons, there’s 7 in Otogi. You unlock a teleport to the next dungeon without having to backtrack through the previous with each guild rank, but some floors have an identical layout with 4 other dungeons you explore simultaneously, so that’s kind of annoying padding.
- They improve Shaw’s ailment resistance passives so you only need 10 procs than 50, 1 proc per level, but previously you had 2 equipment to automatically force an ailment (Blindess, Rampage) + arena condition for Curse + arena condition for RNG ailment, now you just have an auto Curse accessory. So if you see an enemy that can inflict ailments, consider grinding it out early than later.
- There’s anti-QOL by Viola’s 44 cursed objects giving you no guidance on where to find them. On localization launch around November 2026 or so, I will have a list of cursed objects, alongside a list of 12 rare articles, 30 accident insurance, equipment effects, and every passive skill list. Some require Drowt at low/1 HP or Shaw and his summons to die, so get those out of the way first.
- This is a 9999 HP and 999 stat cap game like Asdivine Knot, except you don’t have normal attack/Light magic turn delay to trivialize it. I initially found it difficult, Viola has a strong start due to Cursed Tool stat scaling on top of her SPD and multi proc skills, but eventually Shaw’s passives & 3 summoned allies are OP, so I’d prioritize his stat boosters. There’s also 2 story bosses where you fight solo Shaw! And an optional one with solo Viola. Shaw can double proc his skills with 3 active summons and tack on damage through passives + 2 accessory slots for each of his summons, Viola is primarily a turn accelerator for me (does have a final active skill for 1000+50x power in battle for every critical hit), Drowt has a niche as a tank who can heal to improve his HP cap in battle & party aura like Ruinverse Kit/Asdivine Knot Musika, Famin is de/buff and item support through her Frozen food (does have a passive for +1% damage per 35 KOs, I’m at 2000 in early post-game from all the passive grinding). Once you get to post-game, you can grind the arena for stat boosters (100k gold per match) like Isekai Villain/Asdivine Knot and just breeze through it.
- I did dailies since launch for ~900 starting IAP currency and purchased another 2600, I would recommend the following: [800] Season Pass because Lv. 30 Lucca summon is good for partywide half MP costs and -15% Rebound for Shaw, Lv. 48 accessory to 50% double proc skills (with INT+14%). [100] post-battle MP recovery due to skill spam needed to grind passives. [350×5] magic damage since many story bosses are phys immune until post-game, Shaw’s final skill is a really good mob clearer/boss killer. [150×1] JP up for stronger skills. [500] Crossover dungeon ticket. Unlike previous games, you can buy and traverse it before post-game for good Shaw/Viola weapons to use throughout the campaign, then get a new summon in post-game. [300] Gold isn’t as necessary since rare articles aren’t expensive; I ended with 2.7mil without any gold mods and just needed 900k for a rare article that -2 hours on Drowt’s planting system, compared to other games with rare articles (Astrune Academy, Alter Age, Isekai Villain, Asdivine Knot) needing like 2 million for +100% critical damage and 1 million for +15% damage boost. Not a bad idea to fund arena for accessories/stat boosters though.
- There’s the items to heal an ally by 70% HP/SP without consuming a turn, but now an item to accelerate 2 ally’s turn. There’s also an endgame accessory to use an item and act again once, which could be crucial to surviving the superboss.
