This is Nephilia, the Red Galaxy.
Most of its star systems are ruled by the Brain, a powerful, advanced race, and the Platina, a mechanical race created by them.
While carrying out a reconnaissance mission in a remote sector, a Platina named Reina rescues Art, another Platina whose memories have been erased and whose identity is unknown. However, an unexpected accident strikes their spaceship, transporting them to an unexplored region of space.
They arrive on the mysterious planet Ark, where they crash-land. Despite being Platina themselves, they are arrested and imprisoned by the Platina military.
Inside the prison, Reina meets a native inhabitant named Biggy, who reveals the shocking truth: Planet Ark is actually a world where the Brain and the Platina military conduct biological experiments on living beings.
Furious after learning the planet’s true purpose, Reina joins forces with Art and the resistance group Frontier Ark, which opposes the Brain’s tyranny, and vows to escape from Planet Ark.
What is the true purpose behind the repeated biological experiments? What will become of the battle between the resistance and the Brain? And who is Art actually?
The battle to liberate the inescapable prison planet is about to begin!

Glossary:
Planet Ark – The planet where Reina and her crew crash-landed. It is revealed to be a planet controlled by the Brain, who use it to conduct biological experiments.

Brain –  A race that rules star systems. They created the mechanical race known as the Platina and keep them under their control.

Platina –  A mechanical race created by the Brain. Some individuals have developed self-awareness.

Ardinians – The general name for the native races that inhabit Planet Ark. They consist of four races: the Tetra, Koshika, Licant , and Giant. They are oppressed and ruled by the Brain and the Platina.

Lost Technology – Ancient relics and technologies from a bygone era that can no longer understand even by current scientific knowledge. Most of this technology has been lost over time.

Frontier Ark –  A resistance organization led by Biggy. Their goal is to free Planet Ark from the rule of the Brain and the Platina.

Chrono Quartz – A piece of Lost Technology that has been passed down through generations of the Tetra. Its intended purpose remains unknown.
