Group and Individual Training

Written by MSG Commander

After you’ve rescued Granzalk Castle from the Evils, you can go to the Eastern Lands for Group and Individual Training. (Although you’ll probably want to wait until you’re around level 65 or higher; otherwise you’ll most likely lose.)

Group Training

Recommended Level: 65+

The Group Training is located in Granzalk Garrison Post, and as the name suggests, in Group Training you fight as a group. There are five battles total, and at the end of each one, you’ll be asked whether you want to continue or not.

If you say no, you’ll get a reward for the last battle you completed. If you say yes, you’ll go on to the next battle without receiving the reward for the battle you just won.

(In other words if you finish the first round and choose not to continue, you'll get the first round reward. If you finish the second round and choose not to continue, you'll get the second reward - but not the first round reward. You'll only get the reward for the last battle you successfully win - and if you lose a round, you won't get any reward at all.)

Individual Training

Recommended Level: 70+ (You can try at 65, but you might not win every battle.)

Individual training is available in the Eastern Shadowlands, in the home in the southwest corner.

In individual training, you fight three battles using just one character. Like group training, there are different rewards for each battle, and you only get the reward for the last battle you complete.

Before you start individual training, it’s a good idea to fill your Deadliness Gauge and double check that the character you want to use has the right accessories. (I used Amulet of Mystery and Sunlight Ring on each character; although some of the enemies didn’t use any status effects so you might be able to choose something else.)

Note: if you have unlocked Yukulf and Hargna, you can choose to include them in your party for Group Training - but neither of these bonus characters has any Individual Training.
