Underground Passage

This part is too simple. There are three treasures and two screens, and on the second screen there's a Boss battle.

Boss Battle

Hellhound

• 1200EXP/4000G/8AP
• drop Secret Potion of Battle
• steal Spilrau

This battle can be tough, but at least you have Rumil back!

Use Healing Wind every turn if you need to, and use Overload and Battle Cry, then Ragnazeilast.

Hellhound is susceptible to Poison, so have Karin use that pretty early on; otherwise Karin and Rumil will both be healers for most of this battle.

Have Ryle use Brave Force every turn if you want, and either keep using Healing Wind or just Revive him whenever he dies, and use Ragnazeilast every chance you get in order to finish Hellhound quickly.

Any time Hellhound takes a Deep Breath - watch out! His next attack is going to be deadly.

When his health gets really low, you can try using one Grand Cross or Vilsugia Punish, and it might just do the trick.

Granzalk Castle

After the Boss battle with the Hellhound, take the exit on the right side of the screen. You’ll end up in Granzalk Castle, in the room where you first found Denoas. Get the treasure in this room, and then take the exit on the left to reach the dungeon. This room leads into Granzalk Castle. (The Boss battle is in the throne room.)

Before this battle, I recommend you check everyone's Merit Points, and give everyone except Ryle 5 points in Resistance and the rest in HP (Ryle won't need Resistance if you equip him with the Unicorn Amulet, so give him HP and Attack Strength.)

Boss Battle

Hargna

• 1500EXP/5000G/8AP
• drop Elixir of Ability
• steal Spirit Potion of the Elves

Right around here is where the Boss battles start to get really challenging.

At the start of battle, have Ryle use Berserk and Denoas use Overload.

Then, have Ryle use Brave Force each turn to raise the deadliness gauge, and have Rumil heal Ryle each turn until the deadliness gauge is full. You can also have Karin use Poison to speed things up just a little bit.

Watch everyone's health constantly, and if Hargna uses Queen Rondo, you may want to have Rumil use a Holy Breath, just to be on the safe side. Otherwise, use Rumil and Karin as healers, and just use Ragnazeilast as often as possible.

Three Ragnazeilast in conjunction with your regular attacks should just about do her in.

After you defeat Hargna, it’s off to the ruins south of Granzalk. (But first, check out the new weapons in Granzalk Castle Town.)
